In the summer of 2022, I had the opportunity to intern with Essence Cartoon to work on three different animations based on comics from varying artists at different stages of production. All animations can be found on the Essence Cartoon Instagram, @essencecartoon.

     In Wanna Play House I worked on the animatic, compositing, and sound design. I can firmly say I had the most fun with this work out of the three, and what I’d learned about Storyboard Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premiere Pro within the Internship has already helped improve my personal projects post Internship.

     In Incognito, I worked on rigging the Incognito character, a lengthy and difficult process and my first attempt at rigging for puppet animation, and rigging in general. The process was difficult but rewarding. I rigged Incognito on Toon Boom Harmony.

     In Too Hot, I wrote the initial script and did the character designs for both characters, staying as true as possible to the character designs in the original comic. It was a great exercise in adaptation. The character designs were drawn in Procreate.
